I just picked this up off a internet auction site, just for shins and grins.

The brand is outers. The slotted tip and jag are plastic.

Does anyone have a guess as to the date these were made?

Do oils or solvents for bad?

The silver tube is anhydrous graphite, is this grease?

That kit is from the late 1970s-early 1980s. In the 1960s, Outers cleaning kits came in folded and spot welded metal boxes with a snap-fit lid. Hoppes kits had a hinged top. In the late 1960s, Outers switched to a stamped metal box with a stamped metal tray inside. In the late 1970s, they switched from stamped metal boxes to injection molded plastic boxes with a metal tray inside. In the mid 1980s, they switched to trays molded in as part of the cleaning kit box.

Good old GunSlick

What do you mean, Vintage !! ....
I'm using this same stuff, every day. Now then I could not identify, by your description, anhydrous graphite. Then looking at the tube, you have a tube of Good-Old, Gunslick. This was not part of the original kit but a bonus for you. Yes, it's grease and more. It's the older version of what some folk today, use; Moly Coat. Use this sparingly on contact points like sears. ...... :)

Be Safe !!!
