As for hiding behind a car. You always want to stay low and inline with an axle/engine etc. Rounds will zip right rough most any other part.
 
Unless it's behind a lot of cars.
Probably better to just "RUN"!
Hiding behind a boat might be better.
You could always jump under water.
Hey, there's an idea.
If there's a suitable lake nearby, how about talking a scuba diving buddy into laying targets out underwater and test loads on them?
Got to watch the angles for potential ricochets, though.

It discourages everyone else, too, though.

Very high tech - and expensive.

Hopefully, potassium dietary supplements don't also explode in water.
It would be a shame to mess up our new kitchen with sloppy body parts all over the place.
Very hard to clean.
