Very Weird...Need Help

I got you beat - I got nailed in the twins by a 38 special downloaded for pin shooting a match I was RO'ing, slug bounced stright back off the pin. Dropped me like a rock. The poor guy apologized to me for a week straight. At the time it was agony, in retrospect it's hilarious. Still have the slug, too.
 
Reminds me of the only time I had something serious come back from a backstop.

I was shooting .44 Mag midrange loads (250 grain Keith style wadcutter, hand cast and sized to .430 on 8.5 of Unique) at an indoor 15 yard range. Fired on about my third target. I remember seeing this silver dot--at first--then THE WHOLE DARNED SLUG, severely deformed, went cooking RIGHT BY MY FACE. I literally SAW the slug--even the grease grooves!--as it passed; I'd estimate about 200-300 fps. It smacked the back wall of the range and fell to the floor. I wish that I had saved it!
