Yes, my groups were all over the place, with the throats at .450, and the barrel at .451 when i opened them up to .4525 the groups tightened up a respectable amount, my eyes really arn't good enough to shoot the 3 3/4 inch barrel for tight groups at 25 yards, but their is a noticable difference.
Yes i did open the new throats up also, i have the cylinder reamer from Brownells.
(I shoot all lead by the bye, i don't believe this is a problem with jacketed ammo)
