I have a friend who wants to sell his marlin MR-7B local trade in is 150.

I think he expects something close to what he paid for it, guessing he wants almost 400 (one of those.)

You think 200 would be a fair offer for it? He had some light strike issues so im hesitant to give him much more in case it needs fixing also. I'm not really in the market but it seems to be a nice bolt gun shame to get robbed @ the gun shop.

But its something I can totally walk away from if he isn't willing to deal

Pawn shops and dealers have to make a profit on every deal. Generally they offer half of what it will sell for. You should expect it to be worth $300.

The deal is between you and a friend, so I would not go over 300. If he won't be offended by a smaller offer for the "broken gun" try 200 or 225.

A gun is worth far less than friendship, tread carefully.
