used Browning BPS

I wanted to know how old it is.
The Browning BPS you are looking at is a Stalker 12 gauge, and it was made in 1998.

the guy is asking $325,
That sounds like a very good price.

Also surprised to see this gun says "made in Japan" on the barrel.
Browning BPS shotguns have always been made in Japan. The BPS is an updated version of the Ithaca Model 37, a John M Browning design.

Mag cut-off

I had a Hunter model in the early 70's that had the mag cutoff. It was a problem because as you would shoot the thing would slowly rotate and pretty soon you went 'click' because a shell did not feed. Aside from that it was a great gun as far as quality goes. I have a non-cutoff model I bought used a few years ago now and still like it. I paid $350 for it.

I've found a gun I like better than the BPS anyway. It's the Weatherby PA-08. I hadn't been able to find one until today and man is it a beautiful gun. Feels terrific in my hands and has a nice smooth action. It's made in Turkey.

You should buy what you want !!

But be careful on guns coming out of Turkey ...they have a very spotty record in terms of reliability, durability, etc ...

I don't care who's name is on it ...but I would put anything coming out of Turkey a level below any of the Browning BPS's or the Remington 870's ...in terms of quality, fit and finish, etc ...

Fit and finish is top notch on this Weatherby. Better than an 870 and every bit as good as the BPS.
I've had a Tristar Viper 12ga semi auto for two years. Trouble free gun for $350. Its from Turkey, and I have no hesitation to buy another Turkish gun.
Some of the poorest fit and finish and quality of workmanship comes from the U.S. anyway, not Turkey.
