Used Beretta 84F or new Glock 42?

Viper99, I attempted to explain the Cheetah thing in post #12. The name was used during late F and all FS production.

Btw I understand re: the CS9, perhaps you should trade it.

About the Cheetah prices,,,

Beretta hasn't mentioned anything pricewise on their Facebook page.

I can tell you that 2 years ago a new Model 87 Cheetah was exactly $699.00,,,
That's what I paid for mine when I ordered it through The Evil Pawn Shop.

You can bet Beretta won't lower the prices.

Sorry, you did explain it properly. I just have to read more carefully. :o

The CS9 is not a big deal for me as my favorite 3rd gen is probably the 6906. I will find one of those in mint condition one day.

Regards.

I would go with the Beretta 84fs new in box. Beretta is distributing them in the US now. Check gunbroker; I saw a few there a few days ago.

I kind of have become allergic to buying new guns. I buy mostly used and in great to good condition these days. I started selling a CS9 to buy this and now have a S&W model 624 that I put a down payment on.

Every time I think I am done buying, I find this things to keep me going.

I don't have a 42 "yet" but I do have an 84F. Nice big gun for the caliber. It feels good in the hand, recoil is sharp but similar to any 380 blowback. Good sights, carries well and is nice overall. I have used it as a travel carry piece with one extra mag.

I would get an 84F first since it is used and they are out of current production. I am still letting the kinks get worked out of the 42 for maybe another 3 months.

I believe my 42's have an August and September 14 date on their test cases. I have yet to have any issues with either of them, and Im approaching 2000 rounds through them both, with one having about 1200 of those through it alone. A few more by the end of the day too. :)
