Use of deadly force by police?

The Blues Man.. I think Jerry is simply frustrated with the whole situation of criminals getting away with so much. I think that most every officer gets a lot of training as to when to use deadly force and I doubt that any really want to. Sometimes it is the only option. I think we all get tired of hearing about the drive by shootings, hold ups, gang bangers etc. I think the frustration is justified and there because so little can be done about it. The country is becoming so liberal because we have had the pleasure of not facing danger and terrorists before. We need to get control over those that would harm others in any way, even if it is stealing much less murder or manslaughter. I guess I can't blame him if he is frustrated. Oh, and I doubt he is a LEO.

Not a LEO, and would not be one with the rules of today. However, I stand by what I said. We let high speed car chases go on and the perp gets a few days in jail. If he does not stop, and could be shot without endangering others I would be for shooting him as he is endangering others.

I see so many officers and PDs, and I know some intimately, that are so afraid of being sued that they do not enforce the law. When a criminal gets away to commit others, maybe murder, it is more costly in lives than shooting him.

No, it is not going to happen, but that is my view.

Jerry
