Okay, that's it! Zoomies, sound off!

26 years active and Reserve here (not Guard).

'Started out in '65 as an EW equip maint troop on F-105Gs and F-4E Wild Weasels. Went to EW and Fire Control equip maint on AC-130A Spectre Gunships. Last twelve years flew as Sensor Operator on Spectre. Retired in '97.

Gunship aircrew duty was the best duty this NCO ever had. Worked with endgamers from altitude and on the ground: Army, Navy, and Marines. Really enjoyed Ironman duty (CCT) and opportunities to train ground troops on the peculiarities, capabilities and limitations of airborne point/perimeter defense, armed escort/interdiction and SAR.

USAF Security Service (later became Electronic Security Command, then merged into some intelligence command - I don't "keep up".)

AFSC 203x1, which became 208x1 (5 languages). Several "detached" tours and TDYs (mostly voco). Seems like every bunch I worked for was some kind of "Agency". Never got into the "real" Air Force.

Served f/May, 1959 to June, 1979. Hard to believe I've been out longer than I was in! (sigh) Got to see some interesting places. Like being out more than being in. ;)

1969 - 1979. 4 fun-filled ;) years at the Academy followed by 6 in Montgomery, AL playing with computers.

To all of you, especially those who served where there was hostile fire, Thank You!

'91-'95 as a 902x0 (forgot what the new designation is) Medical Service Specialist. All my time at Andrews AFB, although I did do a TDY to Dover. ;) I might go back in after I finish my degree.

Hey airman, the pilot can't quite see the blue runway marker lights, the control tower would like you to take a bottle of windex and a rag out and clean them off. God I loved when we would get new "jeeps" at Clark. Or Hey airman the pilot of that C-5 you are huping dropped the keys for the plane, walk around and see if you could fing them.
