Unknown Press??

There is a fellow on another forum who has made a hobby out of restoring old presses. The work he does is something to behold! I never knew there were so many different press manufacturers in the past. He can take some of the worst junk and bring it back to life.:)

Looks like a Rock Chucker to me. Needs some love, but it should be salvageable.

I wouldn't sand blast it. I'd contact RCBS and send it back to them for refurbishing. I think it looks more like an old Pacific press IMO.

Not an old RockChucker as they had cast links as shown in another picture here.
Does it have any cast in identifying marks in back web of frame?

If not, my guess is Pacific, which is now Hornady.

Nice score. You got it for less than the price of a 6-pack of beer.

Does the press ram sit 90 degrees to the table top in the mounted position?

I would sand blast the tan painted parts and the handle but not the linkage or ram. Looks like the linkage is blued. I'd keep it like that and probably blue the handle as well. Re-paint the tan metal parts using a good primer first.

I agree, not an RCBS press, maybe a Pacific.
