Unholy Border Alliance

The new intelligence reform bill signed into law by President Bush on December 17 may ultimately end up being remembered more for the provisions it didn't contain rather than those it did.

After much heated debate, House and Senate negotiators ultimately threw out proposed provisions to the bill that would have tightened immigration laws. Although House Speaker Dennis Hastert has promised to bring drivers' license standards, asylum procedures and other border security provisions back to the House floor by early 2005, in the meantime, the very real danger that Islamist terrorists will infiltrate America's porous southern border persists.

Roughly 60,000 illegal immigrants designated as 'other-than-Mexican,' or OTMs, were detained last year along the U.S.-Mexico border, including a sizable number from Arab and Muslim countries. And if recent reports are any indication, they may be getting some troubling new help in their efforts to enter the United States.

In a December 4 incident that received scant media attention, a Bangladeshi Muslim man named Fakhrul Islam was among a group of 13 illegal aliens arrested near Brownsville, Texas, just across the border from Mexico. Border Patrol agents have said that one of the men detained along with Islam was a member of Mara Salvatrucha, a violent Salvadoran criminal gang with more than 300,000 members across Central and North America, including powerful enterprises in several major U.S. cities.

Mara Salvatrucha, also commonly known as 'MS-13' due to its members' proclivity for sporting tattoos of the number 13, is involved in a smorgasbord of illegal activity, including the smuggling of drugs, weapons and people across the Mexican border. The gang controls many of the smuggling routes from Mexico into the U.S., a fact that has not escaped Al-Qaeda operatives eager to carry out attacks on American soil.

In July, Adnan El-Shukrijumah, a high-ranking Al-Qaeda leader and one of the most wanted terrorists in the world, was spotted in Honduras meeting with members of MS-13. Attorney General John Ashcroft has said that El-Shukrijumah, who he has described as a 'clear and present danger to America,' is seeking ways to infiltrate the U.S. via the Mexican border, and is willing to pay top dollar in order to do so.

El-Shukrijumah, reportedly last seen in August in northern Mexico knows that the potential killing of innocent American civilians would certainly not deter MS-13 from working with Al-Qaeda: the gang is thought to be responsible for thousands of murders and maimings throughout the Western Hemisphere; and, like Islamist terrorists, decapitations and home-made bombs are part of its grisly arsenal.

With a ruthless, money-driven cabal like MS-13 controlling much of the illegal traffic between the U.S. and Mexico, there's no telling how many Islamist terrorists have already taken advantage. That someone of Middle Eastern descent could blend in with a large group of Mexicans with similarly dark complexions -- thereby escaping closer scrutiny from border patrols -- is all too feasible.

Then again, an October intelligence report supplied to the Department of Homeland Security by Russian security services said that a group of 25 backpack-carrying Chechen terrorists -- all white -- illegally entered Arizona by way of Mexico last summer. Furthermore, in September, Farida Ahmed, a South African Muslim woman, pleaded guilty in a Texas court to illegal entry, lying to a federal agent and using an altered passport. Ahmed had been detained by Border Patrol officers in July as she tried to board a plane for New York out of Texas.

At the time of her arrest, Ahmed was carrying $7,300 in various currencies as well as a fake South African passport that was missing pages. She admitted to entering the U.S. illegally by wading across the Rio Grande, and her travel itinerary showed that on her way to America, she had stopped in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, just as several of the 9/11 hijackers had done.

It was announced last week that Ahmed is due to be deported. But many non-Mexican illegal aliens like Ahmed are invariably released by immigration officials who simply don't have the detention space to hold them. Worse, up to 85 percent of them skip their scheduled immigration hearings, only to disappear into American society.

While entry into the U.S. is their primary goal in establishing a base in Latin America, Islamist terrorists -- well-aware of the allure Marxism once held for many south of the border -- also see the region as a potential breeding ground for Islamic converts due to its poor economic and social conditions and corrupt governments.

For instance, the Shia terrorist group Hezbollah wields a strong presence in the tri-border region, a lawless, crime-ridden area where Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay intersect. Both Osama bin Laden and 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed are also said to have spent time there, during the 1990's.

It was Mohammed who in 2002 encouraged alleged dirty bomber Jose Padilla to 'enter the United States by way of Mexico' in order to carry out attacks on U.S. targets, according to Deputy Attorney General James Comey.

Ironically, before converting to Islam and volunteering his services to Al-Qaeda, Padilla belonged to the Chicago chapter of the Latin Kings -- like MS-13, a violent Hispanic criminal gang.

Although U.S. agents were able to collar Padilla before he could carry out a terrorist attack, the U.S. border strategy, as presently construed, may one day soon yield a much less savory result. Come January, lawmakers should take notice.

Funny how this connection is presented as a sort of "surprize", and the highlighted "sighting" of Adnan El-Shukrijumah as if they were the "first one waiting to get in". If I and many others were able to predict this from the very beginning of this "war on terror" cherade, the "experts" in the Bush administration and it's agencies are without excuse. These people can not go on playing dumb; it is either treason - or the the whole story of who was responsible for demolishing the WTC is a fabrication. It is one or the other.

...and Sadaam had no connection with 9/11, Al Qiada or bin Laden; there were no WMD's and control of oil isn't our primary goal.

Funny how conspiricies work...when do we hear about the Bildeburgers, the Illuminati, Tri-Lateralists, space aliens, bigfoot, Hottentots, tatertots and the elders of Zion and where they all fit in?

We're clamping down on 'legal entry' into this country.
How in the hell do you think these people would try to get in...an overnite mailer from Islamabad?

Any person man, woman or child from any country If their crossing are border illeagly declare them terrorist and lock them away for life like the ones we have in Cuba that have never seen a lawyer or a trial Maybe after a few thousand dissapear others will think before crossing. We must close and secure our borders or we will pay with another 911 or worst. Those coming in should be screened and yes profileing should be used.

As I have said before. Lock down the borders, and take extreme measures if necessary to repel 'invasion' by these clearly criminal unknowns. In this time of global 'hate america', we have a serious threat to our security and it MUST be taken seriously. Now don't get me wrong, I have absolutely NO PROBLEM with ANYONE from ANY country comming here to live. If they want to live here, let them come legaly, and follow the necessary steps to become a citizen. But if you sneak in without knowledge, and against the law, you are an 'invader', and in this time of global terror, should be delt with accordingly.
Deal with the threat like that, on a few broadly reported occations, and I see the problem going away......

They wanna stop you in your car and search you. They wanna know everything there is to know about you. They wanna watch you with cameras as you walk down the street or drive across town. They want you to carry I.D. with you at all times. They want you to run up your credit cards. They want to scan you everywhere you go. All the while illegals are running across both borders at all hours of the day and night and crack dealers are lining the streets. But whose balls do they wanna bust? Yours. Do something about it or get used to it AmeriKa.

Stop and think about it for awhile folks. When you come to the conclusion that your government is no longer by the people and for the people you'll be one step closer in seeing the world without Republicrat CNN/ABC/FoxNews/NBC/CBS blinders.

Yea, that'd go over real well, not to mention being completely counter-productive.

Those coming in should be screened and yes profileing should be used.

Remember the Latino Muslim and alleged dirty bomber Jose Padilla? Or the half English half Jaimaican shoe bomber Richard Reid? Or Johnny W. Taliban?

Who do we profile? That's just dumb...

gburner,

Conspirwassy!? Conspirawassy!? What "conspiracy"? There is an element of secrecy in any conspiracy. This is in the open. In your face. It's been more than four years - and there are still millions of undocumented people running around this country, and more still walking in.

When was the last we-hate-Bush-CNN report on the "backlash" from the "Hispanic community" in response to George W Bush's "crackdown" on the border? Or the frontpage of the we-hate-Bush-LA Times?

I know; they have been too busy with George H W a thousand points of light Bush smootching Bill Clinton. I am surprized that George W wasn't exhibiting signs of jealousy. Or maybe he was too busy stumbling around. ;)

I'm baffled by the Bush administration's border control (or rather, lack of). If there is a conspiracy, it goes way beyond an intent to woe the hispanic vote or to pacify alien-lovin' U.S. businesses. To accept, even foster, such a dangerous breach of security...it just does not make sense. One can argue for or against Irag, but I can't even comprehend the argument for allowing thousands of illegals, drug smugglers and terrorists to waltz right in, over a thousand a day from what I have read. I'm waiting to find out Bush has been taken over by an alien...the extraterrestrial kind. That is about the only thing that would explain his way of thinking on this issue.
Have located some groups that are attempting to fight the invasion. Here is one: http://minutemanproject.com/[/URL]

You really gotta wonder where all this is headed too..... ten years ago people who were worried about the porous borders were portrayed in the mainstream media as crackpots, wackjobs, right wing cooks, neo-NAZI's, backwoods hicks, ect.....

It's called the Pan Americas. First step is a trade agreement, next steps are further trade agreements and name changes, next step is monetary union, next step is political union.

Study the political history of the new Europa from it's beginning in the 1950s. When you analyse the political progression from the "European Common Market" to it's present name and state, the m.o. is quite clear.

The Pan Americas is approaching the "European Economic Community" stage.

Purely speculative jive...
European political, social and economic paradigms are an exceedingly poor fit when applied to American reality. The shift to the right in this country in the past several years has manifested itself in a certain unilateral/nationalist stand, much to the chagrin of our socialist neighbors to the north and south. This trend will grow as we tire of continuing to attempt to sow democracy overseas, assisting mightily in rescue efforts ie. the tsunami, and having sand kicked in our faces repeatedly for our efforts. There is also a widespread undercurrent of suspiscious loathing where illegal immigration is concerned. All it would take is another attack similar to 9/11 and the demand to seal the borders would be overwhelming. Far from a 'pan America', I see a Fortress America looming ahead where we unhitch from the rest of the world, kick the UN out of New York and rid ourselves of as many intangling alliances as possible.

gburner,

"Speculative jive" is perhaps a close parallel to what european governments told their citizens and "euro sceptics" when fears of a political union were raised throughout the 1960s, 70s and into the 80s.

Some of them eventually did come clean, like Romano Prodi. Who openly jeered his fellow european government leaders a few years ago with a public statement asking in effect why they were being so shy about a sovereign european state, that they are they all knew good and well that it was intended to be just that from the beginning, so why hide it now.

At the time a sovereign europa was imminent it was too big to stop it. Superficial surface "political" and "social differences" are just that; window dressing. The political machines at the helm are one and the same.

There is no such "european economic paradigm" as being any different or even separate from our own. Our monetary and economic system are practically one and the same. The illusion that somehow a "uniquely American" factor changes any of this is pure bunk.

"Shift to the right?" What "shift to the right"? The Bush administration? The "republican" Congress? What a joke.

LAK...

You are, again, scornful of the American voter. The swing to the right that I spoke of has little to do with which party is actually in office. It has to do with the prevailing will of the people and what they are willing to support. The only reason that Geo. Bush is in office right now is that there was no one of national stature further to the right running against him. All indications are that the American voter is becoming increasingly conservative, in support of individual rights, traditional social structures, support of the military, right to life, etc. and moving away from the moral relativism of the socialist left. Kerry lost because he lurched to the left, embraced socialist internationalism, embraced the UN, embraced idiotic Euro-centrism, embraced the culture of victimhood and embraced big government. His political hopes were dashed by conservative American voters in what is contemptuously known as 'fly over country'. Is Bush the answer? Certainly not. But, the image he presents is closer to the ideal that most Americans want our nation to adhere to. The move to the right is on.

There will come a time soon when Americans will tire of the 'two party' game and seek solutions outside of current political realities. They will co-opt the system already in place and it will evolve to accurately reflect the conservative reality that is already on the ground and growing in this country. When it comes to fruition, it will be home grown and self serving. It will be 'America First', will not kowtow to foriegn powers nor will it align itself with other countries or regions at the price of its soveriegnty and unilateral power. It will, in fact, be the antithesis of what we see occuring in Europe. We are at the dawn of 'America the Ascendant'. Europe is becoming irrelevant. Their 'union' is just their way of circling the wagons as the inevitable closes in. They are unable to project economic, military or political power outside of the UN and/or NATO, both of which are antiquated constructs largely kept alive by US funding and participation. Why should we emulate the death throes of a dying empire?
Pan America, indeed.

"It's Morning in America" right? Where have I heard that before....

I think that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever read in this forum. That feel good neo-con Free Republic Coulter/Hannity garbage just doesn't pass the smell test and never did.

The Euro is stronger than ever.

The rich banking families in Europe and all over the world U.S. included are projecting their power right now through the big central banks. They control the system. The government doesn't control the system and neither does economics to a great extent because it's not a free market.

We're their war puppets. And the corporations are all going along for the ride because they make big money as well off of everything you could imagine. If their is a way to make money they're already into it and have monopolized it. And of course the corporations have asked for and received governmental powers.

Devaluation of our currency.....The Dollar is rapidly becoming worthless even with low inflation. Imagine if inflation started up bad again? And it will soon. Even before the recession hit back in 2000 the Fed Reserve was printing monopoly money at excessively high rates. Now what are they gonna do?? They're already pork barrel spending at the federal and state level, but how can they make people spend more money (and also to be as irresponsible as they are) so that the economy doesn't look so bad? Credit cards!! Run up your credit cards! Here's your new Capital One card with the 23.9% interest rate sir, btw if you make your payment late their are several fees and on top of that we up your interest rate.

Ron Paul predicted years back that eventually the debt would rise over a trillion dollars in one year, we're rapidly approaching that level of indebtedness.

The Fed.gov has spent more than it has taken in for every year since 1969. We are working on 8 trillion in outstanding public debt to the Federal Reserve System which prints up the money off of their printing press at absolutely no cost to them...but what's even scarier than that is that the "debate" (funny I should call it that because you rarely hear about the national debt from the mainstream media or politicians and it's gotten worse that way in recent years) has shifted from "let's find ways to pay down the national debt" to: "Let's reduce the deficit". Yes, that's right folks, they're actually debating whether they should REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THEY OVERSPEND EVERY YEAR WHILE THE DEBT SKYROCKETS. This is what the "news" is on CNN, on FoxNews, on NBC.....ect.....Of course most folks don't even know the difference between the debt or the deficit and since the words are similiar, well guess what, American public duped again...what a surprise...and it just goes on and on....

And haven't decide their entire motivation over the whole credit card fiasco yet, but I think it's a combination of two things, 1. They want you to have sympathy for the Federal.gov when it overspends year after year after year. and 2. They want you to be slaves to debt. They have programs for indentured servitude and denying your rights if you run up your credit cards or don't make payments on time for whatever reason. When the banking system collapses the .gov will have you in the palm of their hands then because they'll be the one issueing your "credits" into your bank account every month.

Their telling you on the radio that currency devaluation is a good thing because it will make people more likely to buy American! I $hit you not I've heard several radio show hosts saying that. The callers call in and are duped just like the rest of the listening audience.

Shipping jobs overseas is also a GOOD thing! neo-cons actually BELIEVE THIS.

The Globalists were successful in duping us into another war for profit. Now Europe can stand back and say that they're fighting against us evil NAZI Americans. And they'll use us for more wars. It will never end until people wake the F up or we're totally enslaved.

Or maybe I'm just an insane wacko....

What PsychoSword said.

You are, again, scornful of the American voter

But I am not naive.

The swing to the right that I spoke of has little to do with which party is actually in office

And neither does it have anything to do with where our government is taking us - regardless of which of the two WWF parties are actually in office. Getting the picture?

It has to do with the prevailing will of the people and what they are willing to support

"What they are willing to support"? What are they all going to do? Go on a general strike? Call their Congressman? Boycott the "polls"?

Kerry lost because he lurched to the left

Kerry "lost" because he was a nonstarter, a dead horse. Someone who was fronted to appear to be only alittle less nutty than Howard Dean.

George W Bush embraces the criminal organization known as the U.N. He still funds it, hosts it on our soil, and partakes of UNESCO - the active political assimilation arm of the U.N. That is international socialism. George Bush embraces the euro-centrism via our military taking and guarding real estate on their behalf, at our expense of blood and money. How many of Comrade Blair's troops have been or are now getting hammered in Afghanistan and Iraq?

Big government? Can you say a continuing "Department of Re-Education"? Can you say more spending and a greater national debt than ever? Can you say "Department of Homeland Security"? More controls and checks on everyone of us, while people of unknown origin and intent pile on in over the border and wander around freely among us?

There will come a time soon when Americans will tire of the 'two party' game and seek solutions outside of current political realities (etc)

And the "two parties" have a third contender ready and waiting.

These people are way ahead of you. The next "third party candidate" you see that gets to jump into the WWF "election debate" on national television will be their man.

Europe is becoming irrelevant. Their 'union' is just their way of circling the wagons as the inevitable closes in. They are unable to project economic, military or political power outside of the UN and/or NATO, both of which are antiquated constructs largely kept alive by US funding and participation

Europa is set to bury the United States. The dollar is going to wind up lying on the seabed, and our economic ship is not far behind it. Europe is set to surpass the western hemisphere in production and trade.

They do not need to project military power - because they use ours. That is their political power. Ever watch Comrade Blair closely when he is standing beside George W Bush blundering and stuttering through a speech?

Indeed, the new Pan Americas. They do not keep telling you over and over again that "life in America has changed" for nothing.

Yeah!! ;)

It has to do with the prevailing will of the people and what they are willing to support

"What they are willing to support"? What are they all going to do? Go on a general strike? Call their Congressman? Boycott the "polls"?

Hehe yea, more like what are they willing to tolerate before open rebellion ensues. Apparently alot. The more outrageous the tyranny we project abroad and get at home, the thicker the propaganda machine will be laid on. It's all about dividing and conquering. The last election was just as bitter as 2000 and the popular vote margin was larger (or so we're led to believe) and yet the country is more bitterly divided than ever, what does that tell you.

The inauguration should be interesting just like before. And the security is going to be like NAZI germany just like the two corporate parties had at their publicly funded conventions during the "campaign". Notice how they're coming out and announcing in way before hand to get you conditioned to every major event being like a gestapo rally.

Kerry lost because he lurched to the left

Kerry "lost" because he was a nonstarter, a dead horse. Someone who was fronted to appear to be only alittle less nutty than Howard Dean.

I agree with you both. Let me explain why. That's the way it was set up to begin with. He was their fall guy and put on a great show. Then there's that whole skull and bones thing... of course that's just a coincidence as well...and their minion Russert...

Russert: "What about Skull & Bones?"
Kerry: "It's so secret that I can't talk about it."

Russert: "What about Skull & Bones?"
Bush: "It's so secret that I can't talk about it."

Russert: "What if you lose?"
Bush: "I'm not gonna lose."

The next "third party candidate" you see that gets to jump into the WWF "election debate" on national television will be their man.

One thing's for certain, they won't get themselves arrested like Badnarik (L) and Cogg (G) did.

They do not keep telling you over and over again that "life in America has changed" for nothing.

More like beating it into our brains night after night, day after day in every means of media they have control over until we're so conditioned that we believe our own lies.

Can you say "Department of Homeland Security"? More controls and checks on everyone of us, while people of unknown origin and intent pile on in over the border and wander around freely among us?

You know what's really really sick is they've got a new "national animal I.D." program they're hocking to the ranchers, over this whole mad cow disease scare and whatever other scare tactic they can think up to use. I've been hearing it over and over on the radio for the past few days. Of course it's for security purposes and to get ranchers used to the whole idea. And then they've got their "Kinderprint" program they've had for the past couple years where you take your toddlers and kindergarteners in to get DNA sampled, fingerprinted and into the system "in case god forbid something would ever happen". "Yea, my 4 year old daughter was snatched by a stranger, but they've got her fingerprints and DNA sample so they're gonna find her."

A while back police around here started doing roadblocks for of course "safety" purposes to catch drunk drivers. But they'd always announce it before hand when and where. It was always down on river road. They'd proudly announce the totals on the news that they caught a couple of drunk drivers and that it was all worth violating your 4th Amendment rights.

Recently they've switched to random checkpoints. Starting this past New Years they no longer announce where and when. It's all incrementalism. All part of the larger plan. And it's working! It's working with unprecendented efficiency after 9/11. That's why they wanted G.W. Bush for four more years. They've been taking our liberties faster than ever in the past few years under this efficient new system. I'm convinced that Clinton was just a test run. Kind of 'feeling out the enemy' sort of thing. They decided they could bring fruit to bear much faster under a new Republican administration because their would be less resistance and more complacency from the so called "right wing".

The police state propaganda is everywhere and it's getting worse all the time. It's almost to the point where you can't even turn on the t.v. or radio anymore. It's getting scary.
