Anybody conceal with an Uncle Mikes IWB holster? Just wondering if this cheap holster is really worth it looks like it would do the job!

If you lived close enough that I could drop it off without wasting any gas, . . . I'd give you one. The postage to mail it to you is worth more than the holster IMHO.

If a person "can not" afford anything else, . . . maybe, . . . but if they shut off their cable bill for a month or so, . . . they could get a decent holster.

May God bless,
Dwight

my first try at iwb was with an uncle mikes and it turned me off of the iwb idea for years, but now i carry iwb everyday.quality holster and belt definatly make a big difference in the comfort of carry.i know the pricetag looks good but it is $15 you could have put towards a kirkpatrick or galco (both of which will last a long time and ride comfortabley)

Buy a handbook on CCW before you waste money on cheap holsters

Don't waste your money so quickly.
Instead, invest in a quality book on concealed carry.
Masaad Ayoob's Gun Digest book of Concealed Carry is one of the best starting investment you can make. It costs around $20 or so, and it fully explains the in's and out's of concealed carry, including holster choices and proper drawing techniques. I'm currently reading my copy and find it pretty comprehensive.
If you want an IWB holster stick with a name brand and proven design like a Super Tuck or a Galco Summer Comfort. There are dozens of good designs. Take your time and research your investment carefully.
Once you find the style you really want you can dig around for the lowest pricing or buy it from a loacl dealer and have it in hand as soon as you put your money down.

It beats nothing. They will do for short periods but if you are sitting/standing or in and out of cars, you'll find yourself repositioning the gun on a regular basis. There are better options for not a lot more money.

I don't necessarily expect an IWB to be comfortable in the 'don't know it's there' sense; but I do expect the gun to stay put until I move it.

I still have one for my Glock 23... not sure where it's at... but I'm not planning on using it again. They are cheap for a reason.

The only guns that they really work with are smaller, lighter models (ie: Ruger LCP, Glock 26, Beretta PX4sc ) But, even at that, leather is the better way to go.

I have a full size 1911 in one right now. (Waiting for my Crossbreed to get here). Very uncomfortable and the gun wont stay in one place

i use mine for when i leave a weapon in the car, locked in a glove box...more a sleeve to protect the finish... you can get a DECENT ( not great) desantis tuck this II from midway for about 20-35.

There are other benefits to killing cable, too. More time to reload.

I used one for a Ruger P90 till it wore out...2 - 3 years then replaced it with another, I've had no problems and find it comfortable, just FWIW I'm 6-2 280lbs.

Have you ever had a nicer holster? If you don't know what you're missing, then you are not missing anything, huh? ...... Some folks are just not particular, and will be perfectly happy rattling around in a rusty chevette with a weathered plywood bumper ........ works for them and well, if that's what they want, that's why they have it.

I had on e for a short time, but I could not re-holster one-handed with it.
