I hit the range Thursday and had a pretty good session. I shot the 9mm Carbine first (got a sweet 'butt bruise' on my shoulder/peck), then I shot the .38sp w/158gr Fiocchi. It was a nice strong pop of a shot. I didn't seem to notice the sliding hand phenomenon. But I was pretty concious of each set of shots and how I was holding the gun. Holding the gun lower and flowing with the recoil my shots were less accurate compared to holding the grip further up. My hand still took a little beating, but my shots were placed much better than last session.
This is my first revolver to own and I probably just need time to get use to how they shoot. I would like to find softer grips and see if my hands stings less, but I'm sure I won't ever get rid of the thump.
The nicest thing about shooting this revolver is that it makes shooting my Beretta feel like a BB gun
