Ugliest pistol

The Unique DES 69 is quite ugly.

Speaking of which... one of my best friends told me she thought these were ugly... Can you imagine?

I'm assuming she's not a Star Wars fan....I would kill for one of those, figuratively of course.:)

The thread has been going 9 days now, so perhaps it is time to remember the immortal words of Benny Goodman:

"I like ugly girls. Pretty girls can do anything, but ugly girls have to do everything!"

I've never owned an ugly handgun, the closes are a nagant revolver and a CZ 52 pistol. Ugly to some but beautiful to me.

Baba Louie,
Ain't nothing ugly about broom handle Mausers.

I also believe Rhinos and AA2000s (I own both) are good looking handguns.

The poster child for ugly is Glock. Good thing they work well.

Hi-Points always take a lot of bashing. But they ARE hideously ugly IMO. Taurus Judges look ugly to me. As do many Sigs. All in the eye of the beholder...

Sharpsdressed Man-- The gun was cocked and then...........

I would love to go back in time to see the history behind that gun!!!

2nd post down in this thread, look at the postters avatar, no idea what it is.

The Rhino plays up it's blocky shape for a reason. If it didn't project some sort of " I'm different " image it might not sell as well. Those that are drawn to a low axis barrel likely are going for a interesting shape as well. The long barrel version looks like one of those serrated vented " battle " knives.

The LCR. The only thing out of proportion is the trigger guard. The large guard is there for a reason, quick access. To quote someone who knows someone that knows someone that proports to be a retired hit man. " Sometimes you don't have a half a second to save your life. " They would cut most of the trigger guard out of their guns for faster access.

The stuff from the 1800 / 1900's is keeping with the looks of the times.

To me, a gun is a tool so looks are secondary. Even thought I have guns only for PD purposes, I do have a appreciation for a really well made machine. ( A really well made ,with just a wisp of engraving, bolt action rifle would be my top pick )

There is a difference between a gun that is of poorly made and one that well made Vs that has good shape / bad.

RE: Rusty 1911

All I know is that it was found 3-4 feet down in a mucky field in Tennessee by a farmer that was excavating for something. I like to think it was thrown from a moonshiner or rumrunner vehicle during prohibition. Cocked and locked, but no round in the chamber (I measured with a rod to make sure). The safety has started to move; everything else is frozen.
