uberti 1892? no info anywhere

looking at more pics the sideplate bolts and the barrels look the same as the rossi.
the front stk tho w/o the brass cap on it looks diff and it has a blue band not a brass one..but yeah..id say it a rossi 92

I like my rossi, but your only looking 550 brand new, and i hear some are lemons

Also, you should be able to read rossi or braztech 357 on the barrel above the stock, why would that be unlegiable?

.

The trade for a 336 is well worth it, IMHO - just keep in mind that the brass receiver will in no way safely shoot loads as heavy as a steel receivered M92 can withstand.

( Your location made me remember drooling around a kick-azz Harley dealershipn a ways South of you, on the main drag into Englewood, Rte 776, a few years ago.)

I'm pretty sure Uberti never made a replica of the 1892. They make replicas of the Henry, 1866, and 1873, all toggle link action rifles, but no 1892, which is a more modern design. Rossi and Taurus make replicas of the 1892. I have seen brass plated 1892 replicas someplace, perhaps Chiappa.

This is the Uberti logo. If the gun was made by Uberti, this will be stamped on it someplace.

Let's be sure of what we are talking about.

This is a real Winchester Model 1892. Notice the shape of the receiver.

This is the Model 1866, also known as the Yellowboy. Notice the differently shaped receiver.

thanks man. the pics help but I did see the diff in the receivers. I also noticed the diff bolt patterns on the receiver.
the front stock looks just like the original Winchester you posted.
this thing really has me thrown cuz I see something that looks just like it..except the forestock had a brass cap..or maybe a brass band instead of blue. or maybe the receiver is diff like you mentioned. so far the rossi in brass is the closest thing to the pics I been sent.
this deal was gonna happen in the mail but I think im going to have to do it ftf somehow..alot of uncertainty in this deal with i.d.ing this rifle

thanks for all the help. i really was coming to a dead end lookin for it
