So, then; Texas, Pennsylvania, California, Florida and Ohio should be in the Top 10 of crimes, right? Anybody got the stats?

Texas is No. 1 when it comes to guns
Associated Press

When it comes to guns, there's no doubt: Texas is No. 1.

A study by the Violence Policy Center of Washington, D.C., found Texas is the state with the most gun shows, gun dealers, registered machine guns and firearms manufacturers. The "Gunland USA" rankings were based on data from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

Pennsylvania, California, Florida and Ohio were the only other states to be in the top 10 in all five categories.

"The study gives a clear picture of each state's role in the proliferation of firearms in America," said Martin Langley, policy director for the center.

The center examines the role of guns in America, trends and patterns in gun violence, and the development of policies aimed at reducing gun-related deaths and injuries.

THE STARS AT NIGHT ARE BIG AND BRIGHT [[BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG!!] DEEP IN THA HEART OF TEXAS!!!

sorry...couldn't help belloqing that out! ;)

And can someone say when was the last time a registered machine gun was used in TX in a crime?

What hasn't happened? How can that be?

Given all the fully autos in TX, we must be driven mad. I can name fully auto ranges in all the major cities. Where are the swiss cheese bodies?

As far as the most manufacturers? Who the heck are they? There is some fancy 1911 stuff around Austin but the majors aren't here.

American Derringer in Waco and an outfit that manufacturers for some others.

Bull**** article.

I don't care if it is 111 in San Antonio and 106 in Houston the only way I've ever leaving is when they shut the lid. :D

Texas has the most firearms? (Per capita??)They must not have bothered to look at Idaho. There are a few people around here (bliss ninnies) who don't own firearms, but very few.

I love Idaho. J.B.

I've said this before ('cause this study has been posted before ;) ) -

There are NO class III weapons in non-LEO civilian hands in California. By law. So unless they're counting civilian LEO or military guns, there is no way California could be anywhere but dead last in that category. So which is it? Are they distorting the truth by counting civilian LEO and/or military guns, or are they just outright lying?

You just gotta have more guns here, we have a lot of Deer here, some are small, some are large, some are a long way off, some are real close. You have to have one for each situation. Not to mention the ones you need for the other rodents.

Lets not forget the CCW for those rodents. :D
