Buckshot is terrible through a full choke. I get best results with a modified extended choke meant for large pellet steel waterfowl loads. I wouldn't trust it's killing power on hogs though. Penetration just isn't going to be good from a 70gr 36 caliber round ball moving at 1200fps.
