Turn my eye or call the PD??

Call the DNR. Down in south Arkansas, they give $$ rewards for turning in poachers hunting inside city limits. I think down there it's $400. If you turn enough of them, that will buy some nice new firearms.:D

call or not

I would call at those times it sounds like poaching to me.If they do hit a house you can bet the antigun nuts will try to use it to their advantage.

Maybe at 2am they were coon hunting...?

I would call the police, DNR, and the city council member who represents me. I would also post a sign, or signs, around the property that read 'House in this direction, 100 yards'.

I think you are right in your concerns and I would be worried about a stray bullet coming through my window or tearing up my house. Please do not wait until someone gets hurt before calling.

Let us know what the outcome is.

call cops

Here in NE it is illegal to shoot within 200 yards of a residence or farm buildings. For everyones safety, call the authorities. Jim

First question...can they legally discharge a firearm in the area behind your house?

If, yes, then you're screwed except for the 0230 shots and then the police may arrest them for disturbing the peace...

Second question...Can they legally hunt in the area behind your house?

If, yes, again you're screwed except for the 0230 shots that DNR can arrest them for night hunting/jack-lighting or whatever the Hell they call it where you live...

If NO to either of them then call the police immediately and the DNR second...

Legally here it's 1/2 hr. before sunrise to 1/2 hr. after sundown.

Years ago we would hunt on bright moons. That was way down in the swamps and very far away from anybody. 20 miles or more. We hunted for meat and hides.

It's a sign of the times

I made a good living from criminals. One time a S.Q Death row inmate told me something that never left my thoughts, "I only got caught doing this one crime" they missed me doing much worse. These guys ignore the rules and spoil it for everybody else. Earlier this year in June, 7 mature Bull elk were killed for their horns near eastern Oregon, the meat was left to spoil.

Remember these ANTI HUNTING groups lump us all into the same group!

Turn their worthless hides in!

call

I would call the PD it is better to be safe then sorry especially if you have a family, anytime a bullet could come right in and hurt or kill someone. We have a lot of peolpe that get close by during bird hunts but not close enough to do damage.
