Tulsa Gun Show

I've been wondering the same thing Okie. How 'bout if we all meet each day at a specific spot at a designated time.
I'm open to suggestions.

Okiegentleman, I would love to have breakfast with you, but I won't be up that early after driving in from Indy. Didn't we meet at one of these a couple of years ago at Mark THG's table?

How about noon Sat on the opposite side of the front lobby from the ticket booth? I will be the handsome devil in short pants with the LONG ponytail.

OKIE, JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW GUNSLINGER AND I WOULD LOVE TO MEET SOME OF YOU FROM TFL BUT MEETING THAT LATE FOR BREAKFAST WILL PUT US IN A BIND BECAUSE WE WON'T BE ABLE TO CATCH THE SHOW ON SATURDAY AND WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO GO ON SUNDAY, SO WE WOULD LIKE TO MEET EVERYONE SATURDAY NIGHT SOMEWHERE, IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS OF WHERE WE COULD MEET WE WOULD LOVE TO DO THIS, IT WOULD BE A GOOD TIME FOR EVERYONE ON TFL TO GET TO MEET EACH OTHER, I THINK THIS WOULD BE SUPER TO MEET SOME OF YOU AND GUNSLINGER WOULD LIKE TO MEET SOME OF YOU TOO, SO LETS TRY TO LOOK AT TRYING TO MEET SATURDAY NIGHT SO NO ONE HAS TO BE IN A HURRY. EVERYONE WILL BE ABLE TO PICK GUNSLINGER OUT AT THE SHOW BECAUSE HE WILL BE DRESSED IN BLACK AND IN A WHEEL CHAIR. SO IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS ABOUT THIS LETS GET THEM TOGETHER AND GET THIS IRONED OUT BEFORE TWO WEEKS.
 
I'm going on Saturday. I guess I'll print out the TFL logo and stick it on my coat just for grins. SEE YOU THERE.
 
I'd thought of multi color TFL tattoo's for everyone but realized that some may be reluctant to do this. :D
I will not be there until Saturday evening but it seems to me it would be convenient to establish meetings for members on
Friday evening,
Saturday morning (prior to the show/breakfast),
Saturday morning in the show,
Saturday evening after show (Dinner),
Sunday morning before the show (early breakfast) And
Sunday morning in ther show.
Terridarri and I would be happy to meet with anyone from TFL on Saturday evening after 7:00 PM (earlier if possible depending on scheduling) at a restaurant recommended by anyone more familiar with Tulsa cuisine. ;)
Anyone going that would like to meet please let's get together soon so that we may be organized.

Hey TFLer"s lets start making plans to get together in Tulsa, it would be a good time for everyone that is going to meet and get to know each other in person, could share alot of ideas together that you don't share on here, I think it would be neat to hear and meet several of you that you only get to talk to on the computer. Saturday night would be a good time for everyone to get together, because the ones that don't want to be in a hurry won't have to be because there won't be nothing pressuring anyone except for sleep to get up and go to the show the next day and time is running short only have one week till show starts so would like someone that knows area give a few suggestions on where everyone can meet or if any of you are planning on meeting let Gunslinger or myself know and we will come join you.
 
Ok this may take three or four notes over the next few days.

First a spot to eat, my wife says that this is some of the best mexican food she has ever had. She was in Tulsa on business a few weeks ago and brought back a business card so she could find the place again.

This might be a good spot to meet on Sat evening.

I just called Microtel Inn and Suites at the fair grounds and they do not have a restaurant they are a no/go for a breakfast get together.

I think the Holiday Inn at Yale and I-44 would be a good bet for breakfast on Sunday AM. How about Meeting at 7:30am.
Holiday Inn is about 30 blocks south of the Fairgrounds and should be an easy in and out to find and get back to the gun show.
There may be other resaurants but not being familiar with the Tulsa area I am having to go with what I can get from the tulsagunshow.com site

Okie we like your idea, glad to see your making some plans of getting this going, now is anyone else out there want to join, I think this would be lots of fun so lets all go and have fun. Thanks again Okie for your help of this. Whats some ideas do you other TFLer's have? Let us know.
 
My plane arrives about 21:00 Friday night. If anyone wants to schedule times to meet at the show Saturday morning and afternoon post it here. There are a couple of hundred posters here, but thousands of lurkers who might want to show up. We have a time for Sunday morning 10:00 at the Microtel by the show. I already have a dinner scheduled for Saturday night so won't be able to make the Mexican food fiesta, not real big on ethnic food anyway. If anyone has FRS radios I will take one and be on channel 4-20, if you use GMRS let me know and we can change it.
 
Beyond the Sunday 10:00 meeting at the Microtel with OkieGentleman are there any other people who want to meet on Saturday at the show. Noon? The dinner invite is still out also. Post here, I am off line after noon tomorrow.
 
If my truck gets me there, I'll be the one wearing blue jeans and a hat and carrying a bag.

OK head count time. Who is going to be in Tulsa for the gun show? Saturday evening at 6:30/7PM at Senor Tequila at 3525 East 51st for supper? Breakfast at 7:30AM at the Holiday in at Yale and I44 about 30 blocks south of the fairgrounds? Who is going to be able to make them. The information is needed so the first one there can tell the waitress something!!. I plan on being at both. The wife is not coming so I am going to bach it for the nite.

Some kind of head count is needed if you please, I would hate to get a table for 10 and have to eat by myself.

I haven't decided whether I'm going to stay over-night or not.

Mark Waldon will be there, too.

DROOL.... I'm jumpin' in on the end of this conversation, but I sure wish I could go. I didn't realize it would be this weekend. Christina, how's about we try to go the October show together? (you'd better not go without me this weekend!)
