How much of this stuff has anyone shot? Walmart has it for an awfully good price in 9mm and 40 cal...any comments?
thanks!

i have shot about 200 rounds of it so far i have no problems with it feeding or firing. I notice i get a lot of sparks and hot embers flying down range though. i try to lay off cuz steel cased Russian ammo is prohibited at my range.

Ever shot Wolf? It's the same thing. I think the Wal-Mart box looks hilariously gaudy compared to the Wolf box or the old white Tula box though.

Fine, cheap, stuff. I suppose I agree with everyone else in the world who says that Russian ammo is dirty, but it really isn't overly bothersome.

I've shot 700rnds in .45ACP, 2000rnds in 9mm, and a few hundred in 7.62x39. It's very good, the 9mm is loaded hotter than the federal and UMC stuff. Guns with loose or rough chambers like it better than some of the brass cased stuff. My Swenson 9mm barrel has only proved tula 100%, all other ammo except winchester has had at least 1 jam.

I shot 50 rounds of it through my SR9c. The first round didn't fire, but other than every thing went bang. It isn't the most accurate ammo, but thats to be expected.

I'd buy it again for cheap range use.

Bear in mind that many commercial ranges now ban TulAmmo due to that issue. It doesn't do to have cheap ammunition if there's nowhere to shoot it.

Steel cartridge cases are believed by some to cause premature failures including extractor breakage.

Count me among that number. I've seen it with two AR-15's. While the problem might be a bit over-stated, it's still a possibility.

I fired about 500 rounds of the 9mm stuff through my full auto in one day a few months ago, because it was cheap and I didn't feel like loading 9mm at the time. It all went off.

It was dirty and seemed to be a bit underpowered, although, I didn't chronograph any. Accuracy seemed OK, but I'll be rolling my own from now on, since it's cheaper to do so than buy Wolf ammo.

TulAmmo

I've used a LOT of all the cheap stuff. I have not noticed much of a difference as far as accuracy and cleaning issues between it and the higher priced ammo. Everything from 9mm to .223 and everything in between. I'm thankful to get it for reasonable prices, allowing a lot more shooting.
That being said, I use specific ammunition for HD in each specific gun.

Judging from the huge piles of berdan primed steel cases I have seen at various ranges, I would say this stuff is extremely popular.
