Tulammo.. Anyone like it or dislike it

Was in Wally world yesterday and saw some tulammo for $12 for a box of .40. So I picked up a few boxes and went and shot it. Didn't have any issues with it. Just wondering if anyone else has any insight on using this brand. I know they're high pressure Russian rounds, are they bad for your gun? I put them through my glock with no issues.

I shoot their 7.62x39 a lot, but that's with a gun that'll shoot anything. I know of someone with a Beratta 9mm that shot 100 rounds of it without any problems.

If you're running some of the plastic tupperware, those rounds usually do just fine. I'd stay away from running it in a match-grade barrel, but with most "combat" pistols, it works just fine.

i tried some in my PF9 and CPX2 these pistols have a light hammer so alot of them i had to double strike, won't shoot any more of them in those pistols. they are not really recommended in my owners manual either :D

If the bullets are the bimetal jacketed stuff, many indoor ranges prohibit their use. That puts a damper on finding places to shoot it.

My Tokarev loves it. Then again, it's like old-home week when it gets to feed on that stuff!

I've used the stuff in all my 9mm guns and haven't had any issues. Plus, the price is right.

I haven't bought Tulammo. I assume it's just like all the other Russian steel cased ammo. Never had a problem, I just prefer to spend a bit more to get reloadable brass.

its really dirty but cheap, feeds fine, and has gone bang everytime in my citadel 1911 and ruger sr9c. so i guess i like it then as it does what i expect out of range ammo

i like the price for stuff i don't reload for. that basically means 7.62 x 39. i sometimes wish they would have the 9mm mak at wally world.

I shoot Tula from time to time and I've never had a problem with it. However, unless it's significantly less expensive (which it never really is) I prefer brass. I'm sure if I bought in bulk the price and quality would level out but I buy a box at a time from the evil Wally World.

I shoot the Tulammo is my S&W 625 with moon clips. The ammo seems slightly underpowered, slightly dirty and I have a little more trouble getting it in and out of the moon clips. Overall, no problems and I will continue to use it.

I would spend your money on reloading equipment and avoid cheap imported ammo. There's a reason it's cheap.

I was at a gun show and almost bought 1000 rounds of this stuff. It was under $100. Since I don't have any beater guns I decided not to buy it. I contacted Springfield Armory and asked them. They don't recommend steel cased ammo.

The only steel, (nickel) cased ammo I shoot is in a revolver.

I agree with whoever said your money would be better spent on reloading equipment and then load good stuff and theres no way will I ever shoot steel casings, autos or revolvers!

I've only shot it in 223 but it jammed a lot, one stuck case, and one misfire. 60 rounds total. I will not buy it again.
