Tuckable inside the waist band holster.

Looking for a tuckable iwb holster for my s&w shield. I would like some different opinions just so I know what's out there. I bought a single clip frontline holster for my SR40 and I may go back with one of those. Please note if you guys like a single or double clip and why.

I use crossbreed holsters on my 1911's very comfortable an their customer service is great.

I use an Alien Gear cloak tuck 2.0. I like the 2 clip system for stability, and you can't beat the price. They have a 2 holster combo deal that got me a tuckable IWB and an OWB holster for around $55. The best part is that the kydex shells are interchangeable, so you can use the same holster for all of your carry needs by just changing out the shell. Extra shells for different guns are just $12, last I checked, and you can exchange an old shell for a new one for free.

Coyotewsm - I fnd it to be quite comfortable. The neoprene backing breathes nicely, so it doesn't create a hot spot. I recommend going with the metal clips, though, instead of the standard plastic ones. The plastic ones can bend a bit, and sometimes let it slide back or forward on your belt a bit. The metal ones hold position better.

I have an Alien Gear as well, it is the latest 3.0. I won't say its the best, I wont say that about anything but I can't imagine something else carrying much better.

I own and use several PJ holster tuckable kydex holsters. I like them very much. There are alot of order options too, colors, thicknesses, etc. I've even ordered them for gifts. So I like em :D

I just bought an nsg tactical shield "quick ship" tuckable holster. Hasn't arrived yet, but $40 seemed like a good deal for a bare bones kydex holster from a reputable co

A dual attachment spreads the weight better.

I have a tuckable Remora with a removable belt clip -- it can be used with or without it. The grippy surface seems to help distribute the weight, and I've never had a problem with it, but psychologically I prefer a more secure attachment than relying just on friction.

If I get another IWB, it will be a Crossbreed (with dual belt attachments) or a UGB Canute. I have the UGB Regulator, a dual attachment OWB that snaps on and off -- very convenient and comfy The Canute is its IWB analog.

I just bought my first IWB holster, a Galco "Tuck-N-Go" for my Ruger LC9s. Not bad for what it is and what I wanted it for. I still prefer OWB for "everyday" use. I hardly ever use the "tuckable" feature, I almost always have on a long-tailed cover garment. Still it's nice to have the option and I'm old school enough to like the fact that it's all leather (except the clip).

I have a Desantis Sof Tuk that a I sometimes use with a MP Bodyguard. I mainly pocket carry(use a Desantis Nemesis) but I do use the Sof Tuk when I don't.

For my Shield I also have an Alien Gear Tuck 3.0. I highly recommend you take a look at their holsters if you are looking for a double clip type. They are very adjustable, very comfortable, come with a lifetime warranty, come with a lifetime shell swap program (so if you change guns, they will swap you a new shell for free), and best of all they cost about 1/2 of what similar type holsters like the Crossbreed will cost you, but will be more adjustable.

If you are looking for a single clip holster look at the N82 Tactical holsters. I have one of these for my Walther PPQ. It is also comfortable, but tends to move around a little more for me than the Alien Gear holster. Some people also don't like the retention system with the N82 holsters, but it only take a little practice to get used to it. I'd recommend the Professional series.

If you carry all day long, I'd go with the double clip type holster. For me they are a little more stable, and don't shift as much. If you are just going to throw it on now and then, the single clip holsters are easier to put on quickly for me.

I carry a SIG Model 227 in a Galco "King Tuk" iwb holster comfortably and well concealed. I don't know if Galco makes this holster for the Shield but, if they do, I think it'd be worth your time to check it out.

Depending on the gun and clothing (time of year) I'll generally use 2 types of tuckable holster.

For quick on/off I'll use a Wild Bill Concealment Covert Carry.

For my polymer guns I like the hybrid style in the cooler weather, and have come to prefer the neoprene of the Aliengear 3.0 over the leather of the Crossbreeds. Also they get they don't do the "leather creak" sound nearly as bad.

EDITED as I missed the OP was asking for tuckable.

I second the idea of a kydex IWB holster, I have a number of them made by Concealed Carry, very light, molded to the pistol, vertical or tilted, lots of colors and only $29 bucks. The holster for my small frame autos (largest is a Sig P 938) is very comfortable and the pistol remains covered with any shirt that hangs loose, up here with Nanook of the North a sweatshirt does a great job.

^Having never tried a Kydex holster of any sort, I'm having trouble imagining a rigid shell pressed tight against one's waist as ever being comfortable.

I cannot find a holster company named Concealed Carry. Can you please provide a link? For $29 I'm willing to give Kydex a try.
