Trooper shot

chivo, may I respectfully submit that there were not a large number of British Nobility that supported Americans rights.

There is a large number of Freedom loving, Rights Defending American Police Officers that do support your rights.

Do you advocate killing those officers (your fellow patriots!) if they, in your mind, infringe on you rights?

I can think of a few situations in which I would consider myself ethically correct in pulling the trigger. Shooting a cop over a ticket for not wearing my seat belt is NOT one of them.
Stupid. Stupid and tragic.

Sorry to hear this bad news.

Gunslinger, in your question if they support our rights why would they be infringing, if chivo thought they are infringing and the cops think they are upholding rights, then someone is interpreting the right wrong, correct?
Basically what I am saying is that you cannot support rights while infringing on them. So either they dont support the rights or somenone (the criminal in this case) thinks he has rights he doesnt.

Ok first of all A applaud the guy for his stand against taxes. BUT. I hope he gets fried for what he did. He shot someone in cold blood. A living breathing person that was no more a threat to him than I would be. And he Tried to kill him. May the SoB burn in hell. My prayers are with the officer and his family.

I can see where the old man is coming from BUT what he did is a crock of sh**.He should fry but at his age he will die in jail.
Anybody have a address for get well cards for the trooper?

Bob--- Age and deceit will overcome youth and speed.
I'm old and deceitful.

What a terrible and needless incident. I am so sorry for the trooper, his family, and his community. Serious though his wound must be, I hope and pray that he recovers.

Lawcat,
In light of what we are discussing here your post is absolutey out of line.

I see that you are new to TFL. If you would like other TFL members to debate you on posts I suggest that you pay attention to how some other people make posts here. If you dislike LEOs or their methods of policing you can do it politely like our other members. Otherwise your posts will be ignored. Just some friendly advice, ignore it if you wish.

That links reports this as "Man, 72, held in
trooper slaying", the officer didnt DIE, it says later on the article that there is a prayer vigel outside the Hospital for him..... If all that is said in that article is true, he should be not so nicely dispatched.

SOMEBODY GET A ROPE!

The SOB deserves to hang for what he did!!! I live in Colorado and travel to Texas frequently (As frequently as possible anyway) and the Texas Highway Patrol has always been unfailingly polite and highly professional. There is no way in my mind to justify what this *&%$#@$$ did!
