Trivia question

What kitchen technology found in many modern American kitchens may be traced to old weapon technology?

I'm not asking about radar & microwave. I mean centuries old.
 
Well,casting balls uses a little iron pot and a ladle,but I keep lead out of my cooking.
I thought about a coffee grinder,nah. Funnel for cleaning?Nah.

How about a corkscrew?Trying to pull a ball? Not saying your average corkscrew will work well as a worm..but

Brownies,cakes,and cookies? Standard measuring spoons and cups? A mixing bowl? Wooden spoon? Spatula? Mixer? Oven? Timer? Sifter? Greased cookie sheet or cake pan?
