Transfering ownership of a firearm in Texas?

Well, we are a FFL. If an individual wants to sell to an individual that's no problem. The prudent thing to do just for your peace of mind is to create a bill of sale and sell the gun. If you want to sell the gun to an individual and you want the sale to go through a FFL you are creating a lot of work/paperwork for the FFL on a gun that the FFL reaps no profit from nor has had in his inventory but has to list it as such. If you come to us for such a transaction you or the buyer will pay dearly for it.

As a matter of fact, we charge much less for a transfer than most FFLs and if the transferee is a CHL holder we charge even less.

A FFL fights a paper monster every day to keep his license and comply with the wherein he and his license are bound.
