Traditions Pistols

A few comments about the Traditions kit pistols....

Considering what I paid ($179) for the Kentucky kit, I'm very pleased. They did a fine job on machining the barrel. The two dovetails are correct. The screw holes are straight and threaded properly. There will be very little cleanup, before I brown the barrel.

The wood fits the barrel with straight edges and no gaps. Supposing it's done with CNC, they've got it right. There will be some fitting, when it comes to the trigger guard. Either wood work, or some metal fitting. But no big deal.

As to how they compare with Italians, I can't say. I would expect a more expensive kit, to contain some fancier parts. I know how my Traditions Hawken Woodsman has been holding up...........which is just fine, and own four Italian made revolvers. Just no Italian kits.
