Toy guns

I have a S&W 686 lookalike CO2 gun. I broke it though but it was very accurate and I could shoot it in my backyard without getting into trouble.

I remember my first plastic gun. It was a 1911 and had a little rubber band inside that would work the hammer when you pulled the trigger (DA only). My parents taught me gun safety with it and I would get into biiiig trouble if I ever pointed it at someone or did anything else that was unsafe with a real gun. Too bad the liberal socialists in this country won't let parents teach their kids responsability.

I have a toy minigun made by Tootsie Toys that I got 6 years ago. It's barrels rotate and it makes 6 different sound effects it also takes belts of caps. It's pretty cool for a $20 toy gun.

Eric, my three-year-old has that gun now! He gets in just as much trouble as you did if he ever points it anyone.

Prisoner, I was thinking of the old spring-loaded plastic guns that shot a plastic dart with a suction cup on the end. I think your gun shoots steel darts with sharp points. I wanted something that my boy could shoot at targets made out of his blocks.

My cousins and had these toy six-guns around 1960 that had two-piece cartridges: a plastic "bullet" was pressed into the "brass" and a "greenie stick'em cap" (that is what they were called) was stuck on the bottom. The cartridges were loaded into the rotating cylinder. When the trigger was pulled, the hammer came down on the cap, which went bang, and the plastic bullet was propelled out of the muzzle by a spring inside the brass.

This company (can't remember) also marketed the "fanner fifty" western six gun toys.

Sbryce, your right, that's what I was thinking of. By the way, I was looking on Ebay today and you would'nt believe the amount of toy guns on there. I bet you could find one of those dart guns that shoot the suction cup darts. I even saw some the guns that I mentioned in my first post that I had when I was a kid.

Not all of the cool ones are gone, the other day I saw a gun that looked exactly like a 3rd gen Smith&Wesson. It had batteries and when you pulled the trigger it made gun shot noises and the slide moved back and forth. Unfortunatly it was green with a big orange tip.
