This is kinda tough for me. I have a FiveseveN along with the Elite ammo good stuff and this gun is crazy fun to shoot, super accurate as well as easy to carry (for a full size). I love revolvers and I reload so naturally the revolver rounds are desirable. Having said that, I still (and I did) would go for the FiveseveN. Its more capable than people think and you'd probably get more use out of it. I've seen people take deer and large hogs with the SS197 blue tip round so I have no doubt it would do just fine on a two legged critter. I've taken mine on a few hog hunts but never got a shot off so I cant speak from personal expierence. FWIW the FiveseveN is very easy to sell should you want to get rid of it. Again, i reload but have no desire to reload the 5.7x28mm round even though I have around 800pcs of brass saved up.

In my current situation, I would take the .460.

I already have a couple good defensive pistols, and would love to do some big-bore handgun hunting :)

“I'll have to disagree with you on the recoil comparison to the 44 mag. No comparison at all. Even at 5.5 pounds, my BFR kicks way more than any 44 I've shot. ” [Gdawgs]

…we-e-e-ll take a S&W 44 Mag snubby, say a 44 Mag M329 Nightguard (N-frame, 29 oz, and cushy rubber grips) and shoot a few hot cylinders. Then take a S&W 460 XVR (X-frame, muzzle compensator and cushy rubber grips) and shoot a few hot cylinders…you may find, by way of ‘recoil comparison’ the S&W 460 XVR something of a pussycat … then again you may prefer the kick of the 44 Mag.

Suum cuique.

In your case, I'd choose the .460 in a heartbeat! It's just too versatile to be ignored, especially considering the other cartridges it also fires. I guess I'm too old fashioned but I prefer big bullets over lil bitty bullets.

id personally take the 460. i was looking into the same gun, both of them. both would be range toys only and id even take a desert eagle for the big bore semi auto.
