Took an AR in trade... how'd I do?

I have not posted any pictures. Someone else did.

I am trying to get nose to charging handle and if the scope is in the same plane, you have no eye relief.

The scope must move forward or the stock must be longer.

I talked to Magpul this morning and they do not make an extension tube for this stock. The best they can do is offer a pad that will give me another 1/2 inch.

They suggested the same thing others have. Put an extended picatinny rail on the upper and relocate the scope to the new riser.

I will need to redo the rings to get them lower. Standard height rings should work fine.

I CAN see the target when I move back and forth from the cheek weld. I can't get full bloom without moving the scope. There is the option of replacing the Magpul stock with something else.

We will get there. It is just taking a little longer.

Thanks for the response.

if you want to go nose to the charging handle get like an lt-104, or american defense recon, or wilson combat accu-rizer.

lenthening the stock moves the rifle away from your body which is not beneficial but if you want to do that The longest setup I could think of would be An A2 stock with a slip on pad. Maybe an Ace stock with a 1" pad

Well, here is what happened with the DPMS.

I did order and install the GGG extended base on my rifle and mounted the scope on that rail. The scope was moved up 1/2 inch and I got it moved forward to get eye relief.

I bore sighted the scope in the new position but did not do a proper job of it and had to work at getting it on the target at 50.

Got that done and tweaked the sight at 100 to print 1 inch high.

Shot for group size and am seeing 3 shot cloverleaf.

I will run some hand loads through the gun on Friday and see how it does.

My son and I both shot the gun and both like the rifle set up this way.

I am happy.

I have proper eye relief with my nose almost on the charging handle and get full bloom on the optics when mounting the rifle.
