TN Firearms Law? No CCW permit

I dont have the option of getting a carry permit because of the high age limit I would have to wait a whopping 2 1/2 years before I could be eligible for one
Luckily I live in FL that allows car carry I have a Glock 19 loaded and in a center console compartment completely legal and the only legal way to protect myself outside my house.
What good is a handgun for defense if it is in the trunk and unloaded you might as well have a knife on you instead.
 
Loaded handgun in car

Missouri allows people 21 YOA and older to carry a loaded handgun in the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle without a ccw permit, If you don't have a CCW permit, don't take it into the C-Store with you. Missouri recognizes all CCW permits issued by other states. The people that live in Vermont would have to get an out-of-state permit, such as Florida, to be legal here. In the Show-Me state, the loaded handgun can be concealed in the vehicle, or in plain view.
 
There is a Tenn. law that says you can not be charged with carrying a firearm, if you use one in defense of your life. If you are caught carrying ilegally-you will be charged, though. Best to get the permit.
 
A lot of GOOD info is available on the NRA's websight, carry laws, ccw etc. As already posted, Vermont doesn't even issue ccw's, every citizen of the state that is eligable to own a gun can carry ccw. Imagine that, one of the most liberal states, with a very conservative law.;)

That is an incorrect statement. Vermont allows any PERSON who is eligible to own a gun to carry it concealed, regardless of citizenship.

Are you certain of car carry without a permit in FL? I could swear I remember my instructor telling me that it's got to be holstered or in a box and that it can't be under the seat or in the glovebox even when you have a permit. You may want to double check that.
 
Florida statutes:
(5) POSSESSION IN PRIVATE CONVEYANCE.--Notwithstanding subsection (2), it is lawful and is not a violation of s. 790.01 for a person 18 years of age or older to possess a concealed firearm or other weapon for self-defense or other lawful purpose within the interior of a private conveyance, without a license, if the firearm or other weapon is securely encased or is otherwise not readily accessible for immediate use. Nothing herein contained prohibits the carrying of a legal firearm other than a handgun anywhere in a private conveyance when such firearm is being carried for a lawful use. Nothing herein contained shall be construed to authorize the carrying of a concealed firearm or other weapon on the person. This subsection shall be liberally construed in favor of the lawful use, ownership, and possession of firearms and other weapons, including lawful self-defense as provided in s. 776.012.

It can be under the seat, if securely encased.
It can be in the glovebox or center console because that is not readily accessible for immediate use.

Since the vehicle is an exception to 790.01, and 790.01 only prohibits non-cpl holders from concealed carry, a CPL holder may carry his/her firearm in the vehicle concealed and on his/her person.

Wyoming allows loaded fire arms of any kind to be carried in your car or truck. They may be concealed but not on your person. The state allows open carry and CCW permits are easy to obtain. If you have a hunter safety card, you are a veteran, you have or are a Compt. shooter Etc. a CCW will be issued. No type of training is required for a CCW. You may take a course if you can not qualify in any other form to show you have handled a fire arm.:)
 
solution

i mounted a cheap sentry lock box in the trunk, lock up the ammo in it and bag the pistolas with you in the cab.
