Time to change silencer laws?

I mean the whole argument that they are used by poachers and therefore should be made unavailable or ridiculously difficult to obtain is the same argument used to justify any form of gun control. Suppressors aren't even firearms either which makes the whole idea of registering them and paying a tax stamp as if they were a firearms make no logical sense.

I think Europe interestingly is a place we can learn something about liberalizing sales of suppressors. Interestingly enough in Scandinavian countries and other European countries where guns are regulated more strictly than the US suppressors are available over the counter and the regulatory agencies encourage their usage for the reasons of hearing protection, and disturbance to other people during hunting, etc.
