Now that summer is here have you altered what/how you carry?

Lately, when I am not carrying my LWS380 in a wallet holster, I have been sticking to my Kahr PM9 in an OWB belt slide holster at around 3:00-3:30. It is just so light, small, easy to carry, and disappears under the lightest cover garment. It makes it hard to justify carrying anything else...and with seven rounds of 9mm+P ammo I feel well protected.

This is the holster I am wearing today. It is a Don Hume J.I.T. slide which cost my under $20 locally. I also use a Safariland holster of a similar design when I want a black holster. :)

So, I would have to say I have altered "what" I carry, switching from my usual j-frame or small 1911, but I have not altered my carry method since I usually carry OWB.

No change for me except for the thickness/material of my cover garment. Instead of a Columbia fleece vest or jacket it is a Tommy B. or the like button up.

Gets a little hot here in Texas for cover garments.

So my carry method stays the same year round.

yes, I have changed but is partially due to owning a new gun

Use to year round carry my Sig C3 with cover shirt. This photo is only missing the cover shirt, but as you can see, it could be another t-shirt untucked or a more dress shirt if needed:

Now, I carry my LCP in a nemesis right front pocket more than anything when out and about in the summer because it just disappears:

Florida: Sport coats (light ones) still used when necessary, but more untucked square-bottom shirts, and fanny pack when it works.

Same holster as you, (DH JIT @ 3:30) but with a Kimber Ultra CDP II, and now my t-shirt is generally worn out rather than tucked in as during the colder months when I have a jacket to cover. So nothing really has changed, except untucked shirts. (Michigan and getting hot)

I'm telling you men, if you ever just tried Smartcarry, you'd be surprised at how well it works. Mine just gets better every day. I can change pistols, without changing to a new holster, perfectly concealed, perfectly comfortable. C'mon, spring for one. It has a 30 day money back guarantee, there is absolutely nothing to lose. I'm packing my L-frame 2.5" 357 mag as I type this, with blue jeans and a tucked shirt, and don't even know that it is there. I had about a day to figure the best way to wear it, now it is just tops. I have carried ankle and pocket for years, don't care much for IWB any more, or OWB. C'mon, try it. Any dress, any weather, especially hot weather, any ccw type pistol. It disappears. Never slips in the holster, never drags your pants down. No man purse needed. No I don't work for them, I just like the product. - Best :D

No matter the season, 99% of the time I'm carrying my HK P2000SK in a Milt Sparks VMII with a belt from TheBeltMan. I have found this to be the perfect carry setup for me. It doesn't matter if I'm wearing jeans and a jacket or shorts and t-shirt, this combo works great for me.

PP, I have that same exact setup, even the same holster...just a K9 instead. I found the Clipdraw to *really* be helpful for IWB carry as the Kahrs are so darn thin and have been using that instead. Once cooler weather rolls around I'll be going back to that pictured rig.

I was carrying an RIA 1911 CS in an IWB kholster until things warmed up. Now, temps and humidity are both in the nineties the idea of a t-shirt plus cover shirt is intolerable. I quickly discovered that wearing that blued RIA near the skin in that kind of weather will rust it in about 24hours or less. So, I've switched to carrying either a Steyr S9 (tennifer finish slide/polymer frame) or Taurus PT140 (stainless slide/polymer frame) in Boomstickholsters IWB holsters. Each still gets a wipedown with an oily clothe at night but there's a lot more leeway in case I get careless about doing that.

No, I don't like the idea of changing carry habits, if'n it can be avoided. I carry my CBOB in a MS SSII behind my right hip. T-shirt tucked in, with a thin, short sleeve pearl snap or button down shirt, untucked and unbuttoned. Usually with a ranger belt.

Wasn't sure how to answer, because I am only as of recently licensed to carry CCW, and own only one gun. But as of today, I am actually carrying concealed -- did for the first time. :-) I also figured out that the holster I was using won't cut it for CCW in the long run. It doesn't attach reliably inside the waistband, and outside the thing makes too big a bulge under my shirt or jacket. So time to try something else. (Holsters!)

I wasn't gonna do it...UNTIL...

I had occasion to have to leave my carry gun (Kahr MK9) in the glove box of my car.

I found out, quickly, that black sedan + Arizona summer + stainless steel frame = BAD NEWS!!!!
And I thought hearing that "PSSSS" sound when you grabbed onto your steering wheel or seat belt buckle was bad!!
Polymer frame (Glock 26) here I come!!! ;)

Same with me only I carry a Ruger P90 or P97. :)

Colt Night Defender in a Galco IWB. OWB 2 Mag Pouch on weak side. I wear a suit everyday, so I don't have to worry about concealing it so much. In August when I go back to school, typically wear a tshirt tucked in with a polo or button down over that covers. I live off campus just for the record.
