The PT Cruiser, and Chevy SSR and HHR are "retro" style cars, but they have safety features that the originals don't have. That said, I don't especially like the locks, but I'm not sure it would keep me from buying it.
I'm staying away from the Ruger MKIII, not because of the lock, but because the "loaded chamber indicator" ruins the lines of the gun(IMO).
And didn't Colt(of all mfg's) make the "retro" 1911 without the firing pin safety recently?
