"Throw in Your Pocket" Gun

Mine is a Kahr PM9, in a High Noon Holsters brand "Pocket Grabber" model holster. The Pocket Grabber is a quality leather holster, and has viscous material on it to grip the inside of your pocket, similar to the material on the De Santis Nemesis.

It very easily fits into my slack pockets:

The flap also helps further to anchor the holster in the pocket while you draw. And each High Noon Holster is molded to exactly fit your specific model of gun. It is not a generic design like with some other pocket holsters.

While I don't have a concealed carry permit and thus don't pocket carry I do have a Kel-Tec P11 in 9mm and I can recommend the brand. The quality is perfectly good enough on the Kel-Tecs and mine has never malfunctioned.

Best,
Oly

I carry a Taurus 357 mag. 5 shot with a 2 inch barrel. It has the hammer thats bout flush with the frame( i forget what its called.) Got it for $300 out the door brand new and love shooting it. Sometimes when i carry it in my pocket i have to reach down and make sure it is still there. I have shot it from my pocket just practicing and had no problem getting off all five shots. I dont wear cloths that are really baggy and i carry it in all of my shorts and most of my jeans

Just bought a Taurus 709slim this morning at the gun show. Havent had much chance to carry or shoot (put 100 rnds thru it) today.

I keep a Beretta 21 in .25acp in my car. If I have to make a quick stop on the way to or from one of my jobs where I can't carry I can drop it into a pocket. I have also used it to put down an injured deer. All other times it serves as a "car gun", close to hand, accurate at across the car ranges, not too much blast in my face, and if it gets stolen (have to find it first) no great loss financially. It lives in a little hidden pocket built into my car with a spare mag.

I pocket carry my Beretta Jetfire in my back pocket of blue jeans. It is itty bitty and I dont care for .25 as a SD gun but it can get the job done in the right situation. My jeans are usually a lil too tight for front pocket carry. I can and have worn the Beretta on my ankle as well.

An aluminum-frame snubnose .38 is unbeatable in my opinion. The S&W 642 is probably the best example.

The Kel-Tec P32 is very, very carryable, but it's too tiny to look serious. Other tiny guns suffer from the same problem, but they're also chambered for cartridges (e.g. .380 Auto) that may be impractical for such small light guns.

The micro Kahrs deserve a look. You'd probably need a better holster for an automatic even as small as a PM9 than you would for a snubnose and then the holster might become part of the problem. A PM9 in a Superfly wouldn't print as a gun, but it would print as a 300-page paperback.

Concealed carry means different things to different people. If you are a law enforcement officer who is expected to always carry even off duty, or if you are an ordinary citizen with a CCW license, and aren't embarrassed to carry, or your job isn't jepoardized by someone learning that you're carrying concealed, you have a lot of options. In that situation, if I were you I'd carry a larger gun than a LCP or Kel-Tec P3AT. However, if like me, you really mean CONCEALED carry there aren't many options. That's why I have a Kel-Tec P3AT for this purpose. I don't know if it's as good as a Seecamp or a Roraback (or whatever its called) but the P3AT was affordable and availiable when I needed a CC gun and it fires a .380 cartridge. I've been satisfied with it. If you go this way, I'd advise you to always use new brass-cased factory ball ammo by a respected major ammo manufacturer to minimize jams. Practice with different brands until you find the one thats best in your gun. I won't mention any names but I've found some brands that jam in my gun more than others. Brass cased ammo works best for me. The other tip is to make certain that you use a holster to hold your gun so that you can draw it quickly, but make sure it's just your gun that comes out because it would be embarrassing to pull out your holster and point it at the BG. To prevent this revolting development, I use a fabric holster and have a velcrow strip sewn into all the pants pockets in which I intend to holster my gun, and have another strip sewn onto the holster to stick to the pocket strips. When I draw I get all gun.

I have been carrying a Kahr P380 in a DeSantis Nemesis for the last few months. Have a Ruger LCP and a KelTec before that, but the sights on the Kahr are really much better than most pocket autos that I have seen. The Kahr's striker system requires a rather long trigger pull but it is very smooth and easy to get used to...an accurate little pistol. I am loading with Hornady Critical Defense.

You asked about it and I have an answer for you. My KelTec PF9 resides in a Galco Pocket Holster, in any pants I wear.......that have pockets anyway!!!
