The Bass-Pro flyer I recieved in the mail advertises this as the "Sportsman" 700, not either the 710 or the 770. So maybe it's just another clever marketing trick from Rem.
I have a "Sportsman 78", which is a plain jane 700 and it shoots like crazy, I'll never get rid of that one, if this "Sporstman" is in fact a 700 go for it, if it a 770 steer clear.
