Thoughts on next gun. Full size(+) 9mm

Lol. Point taken. The AS is a better carry trigger due to the DA first shot. And the SA mode is essentially the PPQ trigger every time.

My personal preference would be one of the CZ's, with a slight edge to the SP-01. If I'm going with a full sized handgun, within reason I'd prefer a little more weight just to get the extra recoil taming out of it. I have a P07 (P09's little brother) and CZ-75B (basically the SP-01 minus the rail, although there are other slight tweaks), and both are great guns. The P-07 is more utilitarian due to being more of a midsized and having a rail vs the 75, but each has its place in my small collection.

CZ75, especially the sp-01, especially converted to SAO or the B SA. Nothing wrong with a 20+1 9mm!

The tactical sports would be a great model, but it is real a range or competition only Pistol.

Thanks everyone for your input. I definitely had to look up a few more guns. I ordered a PPQ 5 inch, so I'll go with that for the time being. The competition on the large 9mm seems to be fierce. There are a lot of great options.

Question: I'm looking into upgrading the sights on the PPQ already. The notch on the rear sight is rather large and I think I'd prefer a blank rear with a highly visible front. Suggestions? It seems Dawson has some good stuff. Dawson seems to only sell non-adjustable rears. How are you supposed to zero if it's non adjustable? Bring tools to the range? What I like with the OEM PPQ sights is that they are windage adjustable. I suppose I can black out the rears for now. As for night sights I will mount my Streamlight TLR-3 while it's at home, so Im not too concerned about visibility at night.

This gun if for range/competition/home defense(secondary, as I have many other options as well). Accuracy is my priority.

I would contact dawson about what POI you want with their sights and they will help you get the correct height front and rear sights for your gun. The windage has never been a problem for me, I have found most of the time when people are consistently shooting off it has more to do with trigger manipulation and grip than the sights, I would just make sure the rear is centered on the gun using calipers and if you are consistently shooting off after a few hundred rounds and consistently off even shooting it rested then I would look at drifting the rear sight very slightly in the dovetail. I would also shoot it quite a bit before changing the sights so you know your capabilities with it stock so that you can compare to after changing the sights.

I hope this helps! I have put warren tactical sights on both my glocks but have talked to dawson quite a few times and they will do great for your gun!
