Its a barret, I forget the model name, but its chambered in .338 lapua.
The price tag on it was $5,999.99
Has anyone here shot one of these, or any barret for that matter? I wish i could but I havnt won the lottery yet.

That is an MRAD.

I've shot an M82, M98B (.338 Lapua) and an M95 (M82 and M95 .50 BMGs). Nice guns, with the M98 being the most accurate of the ones that I shot. Out of the .50s, the M95 was the more accurate of the two, but the M82 recoiled less (less than the M98 even).

I personally wouldn't spend the money on them. They are built like tanks, good for combat, but that is not an application that any of my rifles will go through. I would rather have a lighter bolt-gun that I can run courses and precision matches with.

That is very cool. I would have to put a few more bags of lead on the sled if I were to shoot it.

Drue:)

Personally, it does not bother me at all that some people have more money - and different interests than I do.

It does irritate me though, when I hear from folks who can't handle that simple fact of life.

I saw the photo, and immediately looked at the Ruger American and Marlin Lever guns in the background. THEN read the caption about the Barret.

For 5K I could get a lever gun in every caliber.....woooweeee!

Different strokes.

I'd like to have a Browning BLR '81 in every caliber listed...

I don't think that 5k would do that, though.
