This is the fastest semiauto shotgun I have ever seen

I believe that's a Saiga on full-auto. Sounds like 12 or 13 shots; maybe 14. Probaby a 20 ga, but maybe a 12 with light loads.

And why would a guy be timing if it was full auto?

To calculate the cyclic rate of the gun, possibly? The rounds per minute rate.
 
Love that shell that flies in front of the camera. Really a wild vid.

Sure would like to see the target as it is hit too. Looks like good muzzle control.
 
Those of us who own Ithaca 37s made a few years ago know that if you hold the trigger back, the Ithaca will fire each time you cycle the action. The LAPD loved this feature and used it in training.

For the heck of it, I once cranked off eight rounds pretty rapidly. I have not done that since. :rolleyes:
