I am aware that specs are decieving. The confirguration of the slide has something to do with how thick it feels as well. Since I carry AIWB, the slimness of the slide area is a little more critical than the grip area.
I am not comfortable carry the 1911 or any other single action cocked and locked AIWB.
Some people recommended the Sig 239 as a thin single stack. I was able to look at one at the LGS and it is as thick as the glock 19 in the slide. I also handled the Kahr CW9 and the slide is so square that it seems clunky and not as thin as the shield, even though the specs say it is, so have ruled that out.
Maybe I should just like my Shield more. It seems to fit everything I want?
