The Value of Human Life vs. Animal Life

I think it would have been a useful discussion to have but it would have been locked quickly for the good of us all. :p

I get the Detroit Free Press and read all kinds of disgusting human behaviour all the time. Put baby in microwave, killed own kids, etc.

For some reason, I can take all that, but some idiot set his dog on fire and it was in the paper today. I damn near cancelled my subscription.

I can see killling your own family, but setting your dog on fire? What the hell is the world coming to? Is it just me?
