The thrill is gone !

Nope not yet. Not for me. I've got a B/P mortar that shoot tennis balls at my cabin. Fun when they make it to the neighbors yard (a hunting camp) and bounce around a little. At the end of the firings. Three or four of them guys bring my balls back and we all have a beer or two and laugh like he11 about it. Who say's us old timers don't have any fun. (67) and still playing games._:D

Yep...building cannons, potato guns and shooting various home-made targets and range setups surely keeps things more interesting.
Example, with the heat and drought we had this year, the garden didn't produce well at all. Tomatoes didn't ripen and those that did really weren't worth eating, no taste. But they sure did make for some fun target practice sitting here on the deck with various pistols. Or throwing them in the air, fast drawing and shooting at them with the Judge loaded with .410 #6's.

Punching holes in paper can get very boring. Gotta use our imagination and keep it interesting.

Us grown men can really act like little boys sometimes can't we...but it's sooo much fun. :D

find a neighborhood kid or a nephew niece anyone to pass on the joy of shooting and i guarantee you will find or renew your passion through them. thats what happened to me although it was my boy turning 6 and asking if i ever hunted or shot guns..... it started me back into it....

You may have reached the point of either getting serious or dropping it.
You've bought them, fondled them, and plinked with them.
Now it's time to either become a shootist, or find something else to play with.

Is this even possible?? The whole concept is alien to me. Still, I guess everyone's unique. I'd suggest backing off for a while, trying something different, perhaps even something that doesn't involve triggers.

It was a bad dream  My wife shook me and said there is a gun show this week .I'll go with you .You will be fine .

mrt... glad to hear that you have been restored to sanity! My interest has waxed and waned at times over the years, but I've never totally lost my fascination with guns, and if I did so suddenly I might be dead or something

If you like shooting/weapons, in general, buy a copy of "The Traditional Bowyer's Bible" by Jim Hamm. You can invest years in the art of wooden bow/arrow making/shooting and never get bored. I did. Only gave it up after my bow shoulder started making crunchy sounds. Amazingly inexpensive hobby when compared to firearms, too.

I only recently got back into gun shooting when I saw how amazingly well Hickok45 can use a pistol on Youtube.

Armored...you got a point, but I milked a lot of fun outa that hobby before the shoulder caused me trouble. Like a hangover is a punctuation to a party. :)
