I can deal with the SD trigger if I must -- but that might be due to the fact that I've been a hardcore hobbyist handgun shooter for the past three decades. I have worked with new(ish) shooters with the SW9VE and SD9 that were pulling shots as they were fighting the the long, heavy, spongy trigger.
High quality and durable gun and a lot of gun for the money. I say it's a fine gun for someone that needs a tool and has no passion for shooting. Otherwise -- the trigger is a roadblock to enjoyable shooting and I don't see the point in fighting with it or trying to learn to love it when the market is literally bursting with so many options. Doesn't make it a horrible gun, but definitely keeps it from being a fantastic choice much of the time.
