The scout rifle concept

Amprecon, if you ever get to the point of bi- or tri-focal glasses, you'll equate a scope to "thought I'd died and gone to heaven".

A running deer at 200 yards is a lot easier hit with a scope than with iron sights, too...

I've seen/fired Kent White's scout rifle and IMHO it's a better execution of the scout rifle concept than the Steyr Scouts.

I just wish scouts came with upper handguards to some extent. When Mongo shoot lot and Mongo grab rifle wrong OUCH Mongo hurt hand. Of course the scout concept really isn't intended for shooting boatloads of ammo.

Scout rifle is a wasted concept to me too.

Buy a 16.25 or 18 inch barreled FAL and put 1 of those SUIT scopes on it.

Instant "Scout" Rifle and more.

As for the $2000 Steyrs. What a waste of $$$.

I mean a model 7 can conceivably do the same thing. Or if you want a stripper clip weapon for faster loading get a surplus .308 Mauser.

Get the FAL if you really need fast follow ups.
