The Perfect Outdoorsmans Compact Handgun

The Glock 29 is your best shot since it can be changed from 10mm to .40 and .357 with a quick barrel change. I hear it can also be changed to 9mm with a barrel change and new mags, but I don't know for sure.
 
If it's for outdoors (hiking etc), I'd recommend the Glock 20... it's one of the only (if not THE ONLY) 10mm left that you can buy new. I don't like the G-29 as much because of the number of rounds you lose.

A revolver might be best, but I like lots of rounds in my guns... so that discounts a revolver (in my book). That's simply a personal preference.
