The one we let go....

My first deer rifle, a pre-64 Winchester 94 in .30-30. I sold it to my brother for $50 after he lost his 92 Winchester in a house fire.

"Plain, simple, well-worn Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 Mag, 7.5".

I very much regretted getting rid of it.
Luckily, it found its way back to me ...and Ruger completely rebuilt and refinished it a little under 2 years ago. Now it's a brand-new 20+ year old revolver that has already been worn out once in its life."

Very glad you got it back. When I first started reading this, I got a sick feeling in my stomach since I recently purchased a RSB 44mag, 7.5" parts kit! But this one was in brand-new condition (*sob*) when it was chopped, and never made it home. It'll get turned into something eventually, but for now will live out its days as a pile of oily parts.

I think the only firearms regret I have at the moment is not jumping on an SVT a few years back before they jumped up the next rung in pricing craziness. Hopefully the floodgates will open in 2016 once the big bad wolf is gone, and happiness, peace, and guns once more rain down on the American landscape. A man can dream, at least...

*note to self: do not ever sell any of the guns mentioned on this thread, if I ever happen to own them

Not exactly let go but more like should of bought.

I saw a used Henery 357 magnum carbine that looked to be in decent shape for $300 (several years ago) . I was about to buy it but remembered that Christmas was near and let it go. I came back in January but it was long gone.

M586 6" bbl, purchased from a pawn shop in 1988. i had just bought a 6906 and didn't think i had enough $$ to have money tied up in two handguns at one time...I was a 22 yr old fool. Was wearing it in a rural Alabama restaurant and the owner bought it right off my hip.

A 6" S&W model 686 that I bought new in 1987 and sold to my brother in 1992. When I asked him about it a couple of years later, he had already traded it off.

I have a 4" 686 that I bought in the late '90s but I wish that I had that 6" back.
