The NEF Protector is at it again

Jamming again. I have replaced the magazine tube springs twice. With Wolff 870 springs and a Wolff Universal spring. Works good for a few rounds then jams on the last two rounds. Ok reliability with only 3 rds. But Six rds forget it. Here are a few pics.

You don't decibe what it's doing you just say it jams. Not much info to go. Send it back to H&R under warranty or investigate what it's doing and provide more info.

I guess my sig line seems apropos for this:

"The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price has faded from memory.” - Aldo Gucci

Ya get what ya pay for....................sorry it isn't working out

I have pics posted in the NEF vs Maverick thread. "You get what you pay for." I guess the $1060 lemon from kimber fits this well too. It sux! Stay away!

Gee.......you bought crap, and it isn't working out for you..so sorry for you...........if you would have bought quality first, you wouldn't have this issue

It's a miner issue he is having but he doesn't know how to correct it. It's a fact that Protector is a quality made shotgun and how would you know seeing that you have probably never seen one in person.

Some of the 870 shotguns can and do have this same issue and other issues as we have already established on this forum.

SO other guns from a different maker have issues.........that's talking in circles comparing apples to engine blocks

It's a fact that Protector is a quality made shotgun

THAT statement is YOUR opinion, and you're entitled to it, but that doesn't make it a FACT.

I HAVE seen them in person, and I was NOT impressed - but then most pumps don't impress me as I find them to be of poor handling and balance more like a pig on a shovel. Glad you like them, most folks who only worry about HD like pumps. Those of us who use a shotgun for completely different things have a differing view.........

Call Remington customer service and have them fix it. If I remember correctly, you "melted" the plastic follower with some (cleaning?) solution and now have an after market spring and follower. Send it back to Remington and have them fix it. These guns are work horses and should be trouble free. Simple.

Wrong - statements about quality are subjective and therefore an opinion, not a fact, no matter how bad you believe it. It doesn't matter if you're talking about a cheap Chinese pump or a bespoke English double............degrees of quality are matters of opinion and nothing more - you stating it as fact does not make it so

Are you kidding me.

Are you kidding me.

No, I'm not - sorry you don't seem to get it............anyone can spout, whine, brag, or whatever about something - doesn't make it a fact, it makes it an opinion. For every fanatic about an item, there's someone else who feels the opposite - neither view is a fact, merely an opinion......perhaps you should check Webster's on the definition............

He must be. I'm pretty sure he's never shot one.

What brand shotgun does mr. oneounceload own praytell?

And I'm sure not knowing how to install a mag spring into a shotgun has nothing to do with the original poster being from Alabama. ;)
