Do they have real guns, too ...

2003 ATF report as compiled by some industry group was around 1,240, I believe. All handguns. Aha - found it.

Those reports are getting harder to come by - I gather ATF was prohibited by their funding bill from using public funds to compile such reports since '03. A development I applaud.

I don't figure I'm up to one of those "babies" yet.
Not many people are my friend, not many people are.
Perhaps it's just the pic, but the rear sight doesn't appear usable. The (middle) aperture looks way too small to function as a "ghost ring" at arms length, much less in poor lighting.
Trust me,it works just fine. And by the way,I own the super bad MPA-10T which is the full size .45acp
Its rear site only has the top peep at the rear.Works better than you would guess.

I still can't determine a single advantage that this caricature of a weapon has over a quality high-capacity semi-automatic service pistol.

I'm not an expert, but I believe the original design intent behind the Ingram / Cobray type product was as an easy to manufacture full auto design.

Once neutered to a legal semi-auto-only I suspect a lot of us believe it lost 99% of its reason to exist, but some manage to still find some charm in it.

Viva la free market, and all the mysteries it entails.

And everyone else thought the Hi-Point was ugly. :p

How the hell do you sight in? Is that knob at the top suppose to cock the gun? I think they would of done a better job if they copied the design of a Tec-22. And the safety... is it even safe to have the safety that close to the muzzle?

I thought it was a joke at first because that one poster kept talking about "toughness" or some junk.

I know its real now but I still think its a joke.

i guess you have to be a gangsta to understand. only gangsta's use clips in their hold'em sideways weapons. the rest of us use clips as a device to aid in loading magazines then place the magazines in the weapon.

Oh... oh god... don't point the super bad one at me. Point any one but the super bad one at me.

I can't tell from the web site: does anybody know offhand if any of those things fire from an open bolt?

I hadn't considered that earlier. An open bolt semi-auto likely wouldn't have much use for sights due to the mechanical cacaphony preceeding ignition. It would be an interesting mechanical anomoly in this day and age. Not novel enough that I'd buy it, but it would have some appeal, I'd guess.

Even if not open bolt, I'm guessing we're looking at a non-locked bolt design, right?

In 9mm I think I will stick with the Beretta and the Glock. I am guessing they have more amenties like lighter weight, smoother triggers, DA etc...

You might just see some of the .45acp's in a select fire version appearing in the U.S.armed forces! Tell me these arent sweet guns!
