The Florida Supremes Rule: The Fix Is In

I'm looking forward to listening to Rush Limbaugh tomorrow.
I stoped listening to Rush after Bill's Second...
These last two weeks, I havent missed a word.

John Marshall, just as the Supreme Court took the dispute without any request.

This should have had all the alarms go off inside everyone's heads. What a bunch of dirty crap. I wonder if these judges can even do such a thing.

bookie makes the point so well. I heard some of the questioning from the justices (small 'j'). One point hammered home was how it would be unfair if one side requested a recount on day 6, and the count had to be certified on day 7. I wanted to scream at the radio 'And, bozo, what if there was a deadline of 30 days, and the idiotic Democrats requested a recount on day 29? Would that be unfair, and we'd need to give them even more time?' Incredible.

And, it becomes even more bizarre. I understand that if a canvassing board doesn't finish all precincts in a county, then they can certify on Sunday with the manual recounts in some precincts, plus the machine recounts from other precincts. Word is, the heavily (often 100%) Democratic canvassing boards are starting with their most heavily Democratic precincts within their heavily Democratic counties!

So, we have:

1. Manual recounts (which are bound to reflect more votes, biased towards the winner of a county) only in heavily Democratic counties.

2. If the manual recounts can't be completed in time, then they may have manual recounts from only the most heavily Democratic precincts within those heavily Democratic counties!

3. Many overseas ballots, and therefore the majority of military ballots (which are apparently heavily Republican) are being rejected, by heavily Democratic canvassing boards.

4. The heavily Democratic canvassing boards are supervising this entire process, including changing the manual count standards ... making them up as they go along.

5. And, all of this is being sancioned and abetted by the heavily Democratic Florida Supreme Court.

In light of all of this BS, the Republicans are being labeled as 'partisan' if they consider a challenge by the heavily Republican legislative branch. What's good for the goose is apparently not considered to be good for the gander.

This is truly, truly incredible. My level of disgust and bile is indescribable.

We have a family friend who seriously pondered today ... 'I wonder if this is the last democratic election we have in this country?' Radical question? I still believe so, but ... I'm not as sure of that response as I would have been 2 weeks ago. To paraphrase Dorothy, 'I don't think we're in America anymore, Toto.'

Friends, if Gore is able to pull this off, all of us should use this frustration to politically bury liberals in the next 4 years. They've shown us their true colors, and it is high time we engaged them in the political war they so desire. They want to coerce us into accepting the world they've chosen for us, regardless of that meddlesome Constitution. It is time for us to fight back, for every inch and every yard.

Let the games begin.

Miami-Dade County calls off their recount!

Miami-Dade Ends Recount in Blow to Gore - Source
Updated 1:31 PM ET November 22, 2000

MIAMI (Reuters) - In a big blow to Democrat Al Gore as he chases down Republican George W. Bush's lead in Florida, Miami-Dade County election officials completely called off on Wednesday a recount of presidential ballots.

County election officials said there was no time to meet a Sunday deadline for the recount result to be in that was set on Tuesday by the state's top court, and so the county would stick with its result from an earlier machine recount.

Gore was banking on picking up enough votes in Miami-Dade, Florida's most populous county, and two other Democrat-leaning counties in south Florida to overtake Bush's 930-vote lead in the kingmaker state and win the Nov. 7 presidential election.

As seen in another thread: IT AIN'T OVER...
