The Fight in the Senate Over Ending the Filibuster

"If the nominees are so objectionable to cause the representatives of nearly half the people in the US to go as far as a filibuster, that suggests that maybe they aren't the right nominees for ALL the people."

Nope. The nominees the Dem's are objecting to are either female or minorities. The Dem's don't like to see conservatives from a segment of their base that they view as their property. It weakens them.
 
The so-called "Nuclear Option", if exercised by the Repubs to do away with the filibuster would be short-sighted to the max. Talk about throwing out the baby with the bath-water.....
 
Invoke the "nuclear option;" RETURN to traditional procedures.

So what happens, when we start a precedence of wiping out the rules to get what we want done, then reinstating them; then when the Dems get in power, they just do the exact same thing?
