More trivia: there was a series of B-westerns made in the 1940s about Red Ryder, staring different cowboy actors as Red Ryder (Alan Lane, Bill Elliott and Don Barry) and Bobby (Robert Blake) as Little Beaver. Alan Lane later was the voice of Mr. Ed but I don't know whatever became of Bobby Blake.

That's sarcasm right? No smilies to indicate. If not, well, Mickey Gubitosi-The Little Rascals, played a cold-blooded murderer in In Cold Blood, starred in Baretta, a decent cop show, and most recently on trial for the murder of his wife. Just a few things Bobby Blake has been up to.

I listened to Shep when he was on WOR-New York in the 60s and 70s, the story was originally entitled "Duel in the Snow, Or, Red Ryder nails the Cleveland Street Kid.", it became a Christmas tradition for him to read it. And I recall Nehi sodas were available in Westchester County, New York in the 1950s and 60s.
In the made for TV movie "Judgement Day" Robert Blake played John List, the
New Jersey man who murdered his wife, kids and mother and was a free man for 18 years until profiled by "America's Most Wanted".
